LETTER. J.G. Ashmore, Manager, London to Robert Roberts, Quarries Manager writes "I hope by the economies that you will see your way to effect, there may be a chance of winning some slate out of Cwmorthin at a profit. Also, he writes of "Penrhyn" Young seems to be making a bid for the men to come in again. His interview with "Manchester Guardian" comes out much in his favour, but he is not in personal touch and sympathy with his men, & from what I have heard, never will be, therefore we may always expect ructions, so long as existing arrangements last".

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
