LETTER: A. M. Dunlop, 3 Old Palace Yard , Westminster Abbey, S. W. to W. E. Oakeley, Cliff House, Atherstone re slate trade and production at quarry. Benson is trying to sell in North of England and Ashmore doing some in France. Thinks that W. Wynne has not much chance of winning seat for the county of Caernarfonshire, quarrymen prefers Liberal. Enclosed: LETTER: R. Pughe Jones, 3 Old Square, Lincoln’s Inn to A. M. Dunlop re. the idea of selling Hafod Talog and Pencaergo to Oakeley. Mentions the acreage which is around 53 acres and present rent - 30, also that Mr Holland was interested in it at one time, and wanted to build a mansion there. Might do the same himself, thinks it’s worth 4,500 in all. Dated Feb. 24, 1880.
