LETTER: John Roberts, The Gardens, Tan-y- Bwlch, co. Meirionnydd to William E. Oakeley re. copies of Garden Labour Sheets for previous two months, and probable one for current month. Mentions discharging 8 men on Feb. 24 and by now has 6 men and 2 boys working inside and out working for him. List of men and monthly wages included. Goes on to say that he’ll do his best to keep up the productiveness and efficiency although understaffed. Closes by saying they have had a fall of snow today. Postscript asks if W. E. O. has decided what to do with timber lying on roads.
Enclosed: GARDEN LABOUR SHEETS for two months ending Jan. 20 and Feb. 17, 1883, as well as Probable Labour Sheet for current month ending March 17, 1883.
