XPQ/100/76/1

LETTER: Frederick Hodson, Secretary to No. 17 Branch of the National Union of Dock Labourers at 239 Liverpool Road, Warrington to Walter D. Hobson, Esq., at Port Penrhyn, Bangor, concerning the rates of pay to [Penrhyn Quarry Co.] ships sailors and Union Dock Labourers, stating that because the Company pays its sailors 6d. per ton to place slates below, while the quay rate would be 1/1d per ton, there is friction. Also he complains that the Company is employing sailors to discharge cargoes and for the scaling of the boilers.
