LETTER: Hugh Pierce, Brunswick Dock, Liverpool to Lord Newborough. He refers to a letter he received from his father-in-law, Mr. Elias, requesting him to write directly to his Lordship concerning some purchase he has to make. Attached: LETTER: (14 January 1852): same to same, referring to some merchandise which he thinks is not of good enough quality for his Lordship. He has been unable to find any pieces which he would recommend. He has found other pieces of timber, which have been in the port for a long time, which might suit but does not wish to buy before they are seen by someone his Lordship appoints. and: LETTER: H.P., Liverpool to Mr. Elias, Abbey, Llanrwst, telling him he has had difficulty getting the right wood in the right size, but offering him some other size.
