LETTER: William Elias, The Abbey, to Lord Newborough. He hopes to have collected some arrears by the time of the Llanrwst fair but it is difficult. The tenants are doing all they can to pay but times are hard. Mr. Williams of Hafodygog took his cattle to Abergele fair, but he was unable to find a buyer. Other farmers are in the same state. The wet weather has also held up work at the yard and on the tower.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
