LETTER: W.L. Farrer, Lincoln’s Inn Fields, [London], to Lord Newborough, clarifying points re the raising of money to pay off General Lygen’s mortgage, and the amount of stamp duty payable. Raising money from a Bank without a re-conveyance would have ended in more expense and probably in a Chancery suit. Document defective: Stamp missing.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
