LETTER: John Jackson, Caernarfon, to Lord Newborough, concerning a recent meeting at Caernarfon to adopt measures for the relief of distressed mechanics, masons, slaters, labourers, shoemakers and fishermen who are out of work because of the poor weather. It was decided to raise a subscription for providing food and clothing to those in need, that a committee should visit the houses of those in distress and report on the situation there. The town of Caernarfon itself in distress, cannot raise enough money. They appeal to Lord Newborough.
