LETTER: William Evans Morris, 24 Lombard St., Porthmadog to Dan and family, acknowledging telegram with the news of the arrival of Gwen, their daughter, and hopes mother and daughter are well. He will inform them at Tycerrig of the happy event. He had heard from Tom, who was leaving for Llanelly [Llanelli] as an interpreter with the Land Commissioners for a fortnight. He has not heard from Arthur since his arrival at Plymouth. His wife suffers with her back, due to fatigue, as they have only one servant, who also does the butter under his wife’s supervision. Writes about other members of the family.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
