LETTER: William Evans Morris from Denbigh to his father, acknowledging his letter and one from John. He had seen the account of the marriage rejoicings at ’Eisteddfa’ in the newspaper. Mr. and Mrs. Casson had returned on Monday, so he did not have to sleep at the Bank. He will have heard from Maurice that Mr. Temple is going to Liverpool, but has not heard who will have the branch. Writes about Mr. Pryce of Corwen’s death at Ellesmere, leaving a widow and seven children. He is keen to have the post and intends writing to Head Office, but if his father should see Mr. Breese, he asks him to mention it to him, although he is sure that there is not the remotest chance of him getting the post, beyond the fact that he has been there and knows the customers as there are about 10 or 12 accountants in the country apart from those at Head Office, who are his senior, but it could bring his name to the attention of the Directors at a future time. He is going to visit Mrs. Pryce.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
