LETTER: Daniel Morris, 189 Falkner St., Liverpool to Nell, his wife, acknowledging her letter and telling her of his dreary existence without her. Jnr.Banker Hill Hughes has not yet taken charge of him. He had seen a painted chest of drawers like she wanted in a shop nearby, asks her if he should enquire what price it was. Mr. Riley had informed him of the splendid presents which continue to arrive and his bill for carpets was only £16, half of what they had paid. He intends going to the ’Seiat’ that evening and teases her that people will say he can go now that his wife is away.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
