LETTER: Percy M. Dove, Manager of the Royal Insurance Company, 1, Oldhall Street, Liverpool to Lord Newborough, asking for a character reference re Mr. H.P. Manley, who has applied for the agency of the above Company at Caernarfon. Appended: DRAFT REPLY (15 January 1846): He stresses Mr. Manley’s good character and notes the satisfaction he has given as collector of the harbour dues at Caernarfon.
