LETTER: William Elias, at Conwy, to Lord Newborough. Elias explains to his Lordship that there are many defaulters of rent from whom he will be able to get little or nothing. In particular he writes about Thomas Jones of Llannerchymedd, saying he is extremely poor and his family are half starved and that it would therefore be useless to start proceedings against him for non-payment of rent. Elias proposes going to Jones, taking what he can from him and then getting him off his land. Appended: His Lordship advises Elias to leave Jones alone until he goes there to turn him out.
