LETTER: William Elias,The Abbey, Llanrwst to Lord Newborough. Elias reports having heard nothing from the Railway Co., and that no work has been undertaken to date. He complains that landowners are uncertain as to whether or not to sow that year (because of the railway) and states that some householders are also uncertain about the future. Elias goes on to give details of the building work which must be undertaken at Nant Melai, where the roof is falling in. He states that the previous year his Lordship had put a complete ban on any building work being carried out on the estate.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
