LETTER: Col. Pennant to Lord Newborough. The Colonel tells his Lordship that he has already subscribed his own name for the Provisional Committee (of the Bangor to Porthdinllaen Railway). He assures his Lordship that any liabilities in the company are well worth bearing since its risks will be minimal. Chadwick (of the Railway Company), he reports, has gone to the London capital market to raise funds and hopes to have enough money for the undertaking within some 90 days. Enclosed: LIST of the directors of the London and Richmond Railway Co. and the Hull and Gainsbro Railway Co., and undertaking the project of building the new railway.
