LETTER: John Davies, Bodfean to Lord Newborough. Davies informs his Lordship that his attempts to buy straw under 1/3 per truss have been in vain, straw being scarce. He has, however, located Robert Roberts of Wellington, Pwllheli, who is willing to sell a whole rick at 1/- per truss. Davies asks for further instructions regarding such a purchase from his Lordship. Endorsed: NOTE of reply to above letter: saying that his Lordship instructed John Davies to buy the whole rick.
