LETTER: William Elias of the Abbey, Llanrwst to Lord Newborough. Elias informs his Lordship of some land, bordering on Plas y Glynn, which is to be sold. He asks his Lordship for permission to buy some 6½ acres of land, for which he will pay no more than £7. He also makes it known to his Lordship that acquiring Ty Hen, owned by Mr. Thomas, would be a valuable step since the farm is already within Plas y Glynn. Elias closes by giving news of his family, who have recently been ill.

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
