LETTER: W.Chadwick to Lord Newborough. Chadwick explains to his Lordship that he may have misunderstood his previous letter and having met the chairman of the Provisional Committee (of the Porthdinllaen Railway) he will be able to retract his Lordship’s name from those supporting the project if his Lordship so wishes. Endorsed: DRAFT of Letter in reply to above, saying that his Lordship informs Chadwick that since his wishes regarding the new railway have now been complied with, he has no objection to the line running across his land and he is quite willing for his name to appear in conjunction with other landed proprietors of the County as favourable to the undertaking.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
