LETTER: R. Ellis, gardener, to Lord Newborough. He implores his Lordship to keep a journal of the gardener’s names and the hours they work. Ellis goes on to give precise details of the latest gardening work undertaken, especially of New Pit and Hot House. He closes by saying that the livery is in great need of repair and asks for leave to go to Caernarfon.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
