LETTER: William Elias, the Abbey, at Llanrwst to Lord Newborough. He writes concerning details of land transactions undertaken with one Lloyd Wynn. Elias asks his Lordship whether to get expert estimates of building a new boundary. He gives details of the failure of the holder of Hafodygog to pay £38.10d rent due and says he has allowed the tenant six days longer to collect the sum. He advises his Lordship to be lenient in the matter and not to "break up" the tenant, one of the older families on the estate. Elias tells his Lordship of a fever which has struck some families on the Estate, expressing his hope that they are not suffering from typhus. He gives names and details of the families affected. Document defective: Stamp cut off.
