LETTER: Col. J. Pennant to Lord Newborough writing concerning the Railway. Pennant has been asked to give his name to the Provisional Committee but explains that he was indifferent as regards the building of the railway and now wanted to find the motives of other gentry in supporting the project. Col. Pennant is very dubious of the Railway Company and warns his Lordship against becoming involved in any of their activities. There is a brief mention of a bad affair which his Lordship suffered at Pwllheli.
