LETTER: James Hughes, Llanrhyddlad, to Lord Newborough, writing to his Lordship asking for a contribution towards a new School Room and Masters House to be built in the area. He states the intentions of building a Model Garden for the school inmates. Hughes extends an invitation to his Lordship to inspect the proposed undertaking at any time and explains that the Privy Council is unable to forward a grant towards the cost of the project. Appended: NOTE of Reply to above letter. His Lordship declined subscribing towards the school room.
