The freighter motor vessel Chantala of the British India Line. A Liverpool pilot vessel nearby. Built 1950 by Barclay Curle & Co. Ltd., Glasgow. 6 cylinder Doxford Oil engines giving a 141/2 knots speed. 7,350 tons gross. 1971 sold to Pacific International Lines, Singapore. Renamed Kota Sentosa. On 3rd June 1981 she capsized when 150 miles west of Colombo (Sri Lanka) with loss of 33 lives.
