LETTER: J. Distin, Paris to Lord Newborough. He mentions his stay in Paris, and of making good concerts there; he says they have relinquished the intention of visiting Russia. He asks his Lordship for a loan of £20; he explains in the post script how he came to be in such a dire financial situation. Appended: NOTE by Lord Newborough, regarding the money: it is to be sent to Laffitte.
