LETTER: William Elias at Ffestiniog to Lord Newborough, reporting that the building of the new Church is almost completed. Both he and Mrs. Oakley are anxious that the churchyard walls be built immediately. Elias reports that some £1200 - £1500 is further required to complete the building work beyond what has already been subscribed. He mentions tenancy matters on the Melai Estate.
