LETTER: W[illia]m Elias, at Ffestiniog to Lord [Newborough], requesting permission on behalf of Mrs. Oakeley to build a cottage for the clerk of the New church. The masonry of the New Church is very bad and is taking in water. He has seen Mr. Pugh with reference books going back to 1780, which look authentic, and suggests further avenues of enquiry. All tenants have paid well in Ffestiniog.
