LETTER: Wm. Elias, The Abbey to Lord Newborough, remitting £100 note. He has had nearly all the rents at Ffestiniog, except that of Thomas Jones, Llannerchymoch, who has had a good situation in the Nantlle quarries. He had been told to pay Wm. Prichard. David Jones of the Abbey Arms has two sets of bailiffs in, one set demanding £600. His wife has been speculating and has ’done’ several people with the sale of Take notes. He has caught two squirrels but they are both dead.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
