LETTER: Capt. P.T. Percival, 29, Bury St., [St. James’, London] to Lord Newborough, with a favourable account of Mrs. Haines, a prospective housekeeper for Glynllifon. It seems Mrs. Werninck cannot afford to come to Glynllifon. Henry Werninck’s attempts to set up a legal business are expensive and may not succeed. Percival comments on the "Civil War" in Caernarfon in consequence of the operation of the Municipal Reform Bill.
