LETTER: J. Browning Edwards, Jesus College [Oxford], to Lord Newborough. He has begun learning French. Has Lord Newborough seen the picture of Joe Walton’s books in the National Gallery? There are some new prints of mail coaches of the same set as those at Glynllifon. Shall Edwards get some for his Lordship? The members for Oxford County are to be chaired that evening, and there will probably be fighting afterwards between the drunken of both parties. Edwards has been in Kent eating oysters, and has sent some to his Lordship. The students at Oxford are sitting their examinations: two wre turned out on the first day for copying, and may well be "among the Apostles". He has some sketches for his Lordship’s private album. Family and personal news.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
