LETTER: Griffith Jones, Caernarfon to Lord Newborough, informing his Lordship that he has paid £4994.12.0. into the Caernarfon Bank. He also says that Thomas Hughes and David Griffith, of Glan y Gors, and Owen Hughes of Ty Isa, Clynnog, did not arrive. G.J. refused to take something which was less than a year’s rent from Owen Francis of Ty Mawr and William Jones of Penychain. He informs his Lordship that there was a very good sale on Wednesday with some wood reaching as high as 18/- per foot. Appended: G.J. writes that Alun Hughes and Ellizeior Griffith of Bodgaia did not pay. Document defective: Letter torn.
