LETTER: Thomas Prichard, Caernarfon, to Lord Newborough. The debtors at the gaol had £5 from the late Lord Newborough. William Lloyd Roberts is going to draw a draft of a lease for his father-in-law, Robert Griffith, but refuses to insert certain clauses. Mr. Rumsey Williams says that Robert Griffith must take the lease as agreed. No arrangement has been reached with William Thomas, architect, over the old house at Tan y Bont. Boot Bach has been let to Jonathan Lewis for £12. Hugh Williams, Pen y Lôn, apologises that he did not know of the rent day at Llangefni. Robert Matthew, Bryn Beddau, wishes to have the Land Tax settled as he has been paying taxes on the whole farm, despite the fact that one third of it is occupied by Mr. Smith’s tenant.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
