LETTER: Wm. Elias, The Abbey, to Spencer Wynn. He states he had entirely forgotten that slates were had for Llwyndu subsequent to the bill of £6.16.6. in the settlement made with him at Glyn. The building being so much wanted that the tenant was obliged to add a cowhouse and a carthouse at Clynnog. He mentions that the wood requires to be run through, clearing room for young oak that are to stand, pruning the whole, beginning from Gorse Mill and up towards [?Walking] Mill. He has not heard where Mr. Griffith is going to employ the poor upon the roads, but most gentlemen about Conwy have subscribed to finance them. He asks his Lordship for £5 to be laid out on a cross road leading from the line now making to Cedrin Quarry to Coedsadwrn, which is much wanted.
