NOTE: Lord Newborough, in London, to G. Bettiss, Tower House, Caernarfon, stating that he had been prevented from answering his letter as the messenger had arrived at ?Fort St. David late the previous evening. He had written to the solicitor by that day’s post to say that the money would be placed in Messrs. Esdaile’s bank where he could draw on it when he liked. He asks that the money be dispatched by the evening mail. The solicitor’s name was John Huxley. Document defective: Rodent damage. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 4885]
