LETTER: Coutts & Co., Strand, to Lord Newborough, informing his Lordship that an acceptance for £500 of W.G. Griffith for Mr. Rae’s bill dated 13 November was presented to them to be drawn on his Lordship’s accounts. However, Mr. Griffith’s accounts were overdrawn. They had requested the holders to present it again. They had received a letter from Mr. Griffith but he had not mentioned his acceptance and had enclosed a Bill of the Caernarfon Bank on Messrs. ?Esdaile & Co., for £1500 for the 26 February and advising a payment in money of the £1500. This had been received and after making a part of the payments which had been suspended there remained a balance in his Lordship’s favour of £156.3.5. The payments then standing were two sums of £250. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 4654]
