LETTER: Wm. Elias, from Ffestiniog to Wm. Glynne Griffith, Bodegroes, Pwllheli. He says that as yet he has been unable to find Scotch firs for the weather side of Gellirin and the new plantation at Cerwinbeunydd, and asks if there are any at Pwllheli Nursery. He requests 200 or 300 plants, plus an experienced person from the Pwllheli quarter to plant them. The Old House is in a bad condition and the roof must be secured, and [George] Bettiss will communcate with W.G.G. shortly about this matter. He says that pine timber is the most deisrable wood and hopes W.G.G. may get some. The letter is continued from Cerwinbeunydd which is ready for planting but there are no plants there for all 4 acres of it. He wishes to hear W.G.G.’s opinion on all these matters.
