LETTER: G Bettiss, Caernarfon, to W Glynne Griffith, Bodegroes. He had gone over to Penrhyn but Mr. Pennant had gone to London. He went to Pwllheli and met Col. Edwards, John Kyffin and others with whom he discussed Lord Newborough’s birthday party and invited Col. Edwards to dinner with his Lordship, which the former declined. Discontent was expressed by the company at the fact that Griffith was Lord Newborough’s agent. Bettiss will proceed to arrange for the entertainment of the tenants and arranges to meet Griffith. The election seems to go with great spirit.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
