LETTER: Farrars and Co., Lincoln’s Inn Fields, [London], to George Bettiss, Caernarfon, acknowledging receipt of his letter re taking part of Lord Newborough’s land for the turnpike road. They ask his opinion of the prices offered because if it was a good price they could not see any objection. They thought that it had been decided to allow the tenants 50 slates as a sort of compensation for the worsening of the times. Nothing more could be done until Lord Newborough came of age. [N.L.W.
