LETTER: Farrars and Co., Lincoln’s Inn Fields, London, to George Bettiss, Caernarfon, informing him that they had received a letter from Mr. Jones of Beaumaris [Biwmares] informing them that his title deeds had been sent to London for examination and asking for the sum of £100 on account of his purchase money. They saw no objection to the payment of this advance provided that a proper acknowledgment was made for it. It was quite impossible for the trustees to give any further directions with regard to Mr. Evans’ estate and therefore the idea of purchasing any part of the property must be abandoned. [N.L.W. In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
