LETTER: Lord Newborough at Whitechurch, [?co. Oxon.], to Coutts Trotter, 59 Strand, London. They are comfortable and pleased with everything at Whitchurch. Mr. Salter is an excellent tutor. He agrees with the guardians’ proposals that he be paid a regular allowance to meet his expenses. He discusses horses bought for him and his brother; a groom has been hired at 18s. per week. His own pocket money is nearly exhausted. He will show him his accounts at the end of the year. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 3886]
