LETTER: Lady M Newborough Sternberg, to the trustees of the will of the late Lord Newborough. She came to the country on the advice of Dr. Hughes to take her children from the protection of Mr. Belasyse their cousin, and her solicitor Mr. Pownall received promises that her expenses on her sons’ account would be met. She finds herself the mother of a very opulent English Baron but without the means of providing herself with the common necessaries for her and her sons’ support, and they must stay with her in London until she is assured that the sickness is past. She will make the situation known to the Lord Chancellor if she does not receive an immediate reply. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 3286]
