LETTER: Hugh Rowlands, Tymawr, [near Caernarfon], to Wynn Belasyse, at 5 Steyne, Brighton, [co. Sussex], redirected to 70 Lower Grosvenor Street, London. He is glad to hear that Mr. Belasyse and Lady Charlotte are to bring Lord Newborough and his brother to Glynllifon. The linen there is probably adequate for a short time, although sheeting is very indifferent. There are only broken sets of china and crockery, and no glasses fit to use. The knives and forks are very worn, having been in use since the late Lord Newborough came from abroad. There is no plate except for a few teaspoons. He recommends brewing in March as much beer as the family will require. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 3311]
