LETTER: John Spooner, Glynllifon, to Lord Newborough at Portland Place, London. He has planted numerous trees at the Abbey. Bats are so numerous there that they eat all the acorns and most of the apples. He sent five hundred each of Royal Russets and Golden Russets to Llanrwst.
