LETTER: R Carreg, Caernarfon to [?Sir John Wynn], to enclose an abstract of his account of rents received in Denbighshire [present]. Knowles brought further accounts for the repair of Segroit Mill, which he insists should have been done, and a kiln built, before he commenced his tenancy. If these are not done, he will give up the lease. He has brought no bills for repair of Melin Ganol, but a new wooden bridge is needed there, as the stream has carried the old one away. Knowles says that Mrs. Conwy and the other local inhabitants are threatening a lawsuit unless a new bridge is built. He discusses timber at Segroit and Maesyplwm, to be sold to William Hughes. The mill repairs have yet to be started, and it is essential that they are as an autumn flood could wash the whole fabric away. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 4287]
