DRAFT LIST of the applicants selected as the most eligible candidates for the office of Chief Constable in order of merit. Candidates were selected by a committee of magistrates appointed at the Hilary Quarter Sessions, who felt that knowledge of the Welsh language was not an indispensable requisite for the office. Copy.
