LETTER T.P. Williams Ellis, Glasfryn, to Lord Newborough, applying for the post of Chief Constable for Caernarfonshire under the Rural Police Act. He has a familiarity with the language and topography of the district, a knowledge of surveying, accounts and military training. He has a testimonial from the University where he graduated in 1853. Since 1853 he had been serving as Senior Lieutenant in the Merioneth [Meirionnydd] Militia. Appended: TESTIMONIAL (28 July 1856) from E.
