LETTER G. Grey, Secretary of State, Whitehall, to Lord Newborough, the Chairman of the Quarter Sessions for the County of Caernarfon enclosing copies of Acts of Parliament which affect the powers of the police and asking his Lordship to submit the Acts to the consideration of the next Court of Quarter Sessions with a view to the adoption of measures to establish a Police Force. He also enclosed a copy of the existing Rules for establishing uniform conditions for the Police Force. He then outlines the provisions of the Act. Forms would be prepared to provide uniformity of statement re crime in each County. [N.L.W. Glynllivon 1876]
