LETTER: [G. Picton Jones], Bodvean and Glynllifon Estates Offices, Caroline Place, Pwllheli, to Lord Newborough, informing his Lordship that the purchase of land for the Caernarfon Town Railway has been settled at £4000. Mr. Wood had refused to give an undertaking in writing that the Railway Co. would obtain powers for the Harbour Trust to convey land to his Lordship as this would be illegal. Attached: NOTE: (10 May 1869): Llewelyn Turner to Mr. Picton Jones informing him that he will undertake as chairman of the Harbour Trust to do all he can to assist the L. & N.W. Railway Co. to obtain powers to convey the land agreed to be sold by the Trust to Lord Newborough.
