LETTER: Timothy Tyrrell, Guildhall [?], to William Elias, The Abbey, Llanrwst [Denbighshire]; Mr. Sanders forwarded Mr. Elias’ letter to Mr. Tyrrell, who will write to Mr. Griffith Jones shortly. He hopes to have the purchase money paid soon, and all matters amicably settled. Annexed: LETTER (1845, Dec. 20) same to same: re Lord Newborough and the Chester and Holyhead Railway Company. He has written more than once for the measurements in order to complete, but all engineers, surveyors and solicitors are so pressed in getting ready for the evening sessions that it is difficult to get any communications from them. Therefore he hopes Mr. Elias will let the matter stand over until the New Year. Annexed: NOTE of measurement of Harp Garden and compensation to be paid by [Railway Company]. Annexed: PLAN of Lord Newborough’s gardens and houses in Conwy.

Page Language

In accord with normal archival practice in Wales, details of documents are presented in the language of the document. Where details appear in Welsh, then Welsh is the language in which the document is written; where they are in English, the document is in English.
