One-twelfth of slates and one-tenth of other minerals for 10 years. Annexed: LETTER (26 Sep. 1853): G. Jones, Yokehouse, to Lord Newborough, re Mr Semple’s take note. LETTER (2 Nov. 1855): Mr Semple, 10 Caroline Place, Stonehouse, Plymouth, [co. Devon] to Griffith Jones, Pwllheli. His attempts to form a company to work Llwyncoed Quarry have failed because of the effect of the war on the money market, and he asks for a little more time.
