LETTER: Farrer and Co., Lincoln Inn Fields, [London], to Mr. Brown, Luton [Bedfordshire], stating that they are sorry he could not meet Mr. Elias Jones and Mr. Bettiss in London. They add that Elias Jones has completed the embanament at a cost of about £340, and proposes to make further improvements. His plan of improvement has been suggested to and approved by Mr. Burrel [Sir P.D. Burrel], who is undertaking it on adjoining meadowland under the direction of an eminent agriculturalist. They require to know his sentiments before agreeing to his proposal.
